Uptake Medical is developing a minimally invasive, bronchoscopic catheter based method of delivering vapor to emphysematous lung regions. Applying energy to emphysematous lung regions will scar down those regions allowing for better functioning lung regions to expand and offering the patient improved overall breathing mechanics. Our proprietary Bronchoscopic Thermal Vapor Ablation (BTVA) technology is a potentially safe and effective therapy for patients diagnosed with emphysema.
